Humane Society Collection

Last Spring the library sponsored the"America's Next Top Pet"contest. Staff members entered their pets and worked hard to collect donations that proved their pet was the reigning diva! Each contestant created a fabulous collection bucket and encouraged donations for their pet(s). The tiniest chihuahua owned by Ms. Carper won the fabulous container of special dogie treats and a toy. Melvin and Axle Stout won the glorious kitty climbing toy. The real winner, however, was the Shenandoah County Humane Society with a charitable donation of over $700! Our students and staff are an awesome bunch of folks! Above is a picture of Gloria and Betty, two of the Humane Society's rescues. We will definitely do this project again!!

Help Stop Hunger

Help stop hunger in our community by contributing a box of breakfast cereal to the annual Library Cereal Collection. Our goal is to collect over 100 boxes of cereal to benefit a local food pantry. We would like to deliver the boxes by November 1. Please take time to support this drive and to generously help and support our local food banks as we work together to stop hunger.
